Lexie Liu "Nada" official music video - 88rising

Last month, Lexie Liu made a strong impression with “Sleep Away”, the first single off her forthcoming project. The Fader named the track on of “10 Songs You Need In Your Life”, Nylon listed is as the “Best Music Releases of the Week”, and Refinery29 said “their ears are very into Lexie.” Building off of this hight, today, Lexie releases her biggest track yet, “Nada”, complete with video. An empowering, anthemic, futuristic number, “Nada” is produced by Bijan Amir (“Ric Flair Drip”) and brought to life in 3D by video director Mamesjao. In a Blade Runner-inspired underworld, Lexie is suited up in HUD and ready to conquer the world.
“Lexie Liu is poised to become the face of a generation of new Chinese artists breaking into the American mainstream with a uniquely, cross-cultural sound.” – V Magazine
She is preparing to release her global debut project via 88rising at the top of 2019. Earlier this summer, Lexie Liu announced her signing to 88rising with the worldwide release of “Like A Mercedes”. The cyber-punk inspired video was Lexie Liu’s first introduction to a global audience, showing off how “her provocative sound is transcending language barriers.”
Born and raised in Changsha, China, 19-year-old Lexie Liu is creating a new template for hip-pop stardom. Although she grew up mainly in a Chinese environment, her provocative English lyrics and awareness of youth culture have set her apart from her contemporaries. At the age of 18, she became the youngest Chinese musician to perform at SXSW in the United States.
This promising trajectory along with Lexie Liu’s distinct appearance caught the attention of the fashion industry where she landed placements in Puma’s Suede 50 campaign, Levi’s New Years TVC campaign and and appearance at teh “Volez, Voguez, Voyagez,” Louis Vuitton 2018 campaign exhibition in Shanghai. Lexie Liu has also been featured on the print pages of Asia’s most prominent fashion publications including Vogue me (China), BAZZAR China, Nylon Japan & Nylon China.

Chuck Chill " Black" "Official music video"

Wilmington, Delaware based emcee Chuck Chill drops the visual to his latest track BLACK, via FBA Records

Everyone has a story but how many use
their platform to hit the lives in their community as a way of giving
back? Charles Williams is an up and coming artist from Wilmington,
Delaware that is bringing back similar vibes of Master P, Nas, &
Jay-Z. The kind of hard, realness, the Hip Hop community needs again.

As a go-getter, Charles found his vision
about a year ago and created a studio in the basement of a friend’s
home, where he began laying down the foundation for his future. Growing
up and making some mistakes, is where Charles realized that there needed
to be more to the current life he was living. He believes that the
steps he has taken thus far in life has gotten him where he is today, a
man with more than just a dream, a man with a plan.

Charles wants to be the role model for
the young men in the community that do not have one. To be the voice for
many that cannot speak up. His music speaks real life, and when
speaking for or to the community having relatability is what catches the
ears of many. Charles has been able to create a platform in his city
and for that, he has become an

inspiration. This young man is settling into his own and is on the right
track of creating, as well, as producing impactful music.

"Puppet Strings" - Official Music Video

Alya’s “Puppet Strings” Is A Haunting Braid Of Pop & Darkness

LA-based artist Alya plays with our heartstrings by
taking us into the deep psychological layers of emotional manipulation
with her hauntingly gorgeous visuals for “Puppet Strings.”
Built on taut and dirge-like production, the track
swings between ghostly pop and psychedelia where she hovers closely
around a dreamy state. The rustling synths and gritty riffage cast a
hypnotic, harrowing effect that feels paranormal. Drifting between
glass-cutting and fraying vocals, Alya dissects the helplessness and
bewitching way someone can exercise control over us. “With puppet
strings, I am tied up with you” she chants.

Puppet Strings” opens with baroque classical strings
flowing into an indie-pop vibe. Brightly streaming colors flow overhead,
as burbling synths hold down the middle, and a syncopated rhythm
cements the foundation. The music builds, assuming multiple sonic layers
shimmering with surging energy. It’s cliché to say so, but it’s a
potently beautiful song, ethereal and brawny at the same time. Alya’s
voice is mesmerizing, reminding me of the best qualities of both Cyndi
Lauper and Dolores O’Riordan – penetrating yet graciously melodic. It’s a
magnificent voice, lush with pristine timbres.
Alya has been making buzz across in the indie pop scene
with her previous single “Animals,” which was playlisted across various
radio stations.

With two versions of her debut album (one in English,
the other primarily in Japanese) just around the corner, Alya’s sound
has been likened to Bjork-meets-Massive Attack, a sound blending pop,
Japanese folk, trip-hop, electronica, surf rock, jazz, and classical
music. It’s a multifarious sound, misty and polished, elusively familiar
yet simultaneously sui generis.

Born and raised in Russia, Alya knew she wanted to be a
singer early on. Excelling in music school and a school for the gifted,
she was preparing for college, where she hoped to study music. Her
parents insisted she be more realistic in her choice of profession. She
enrolled in journalism at Moscow State University.

Proving to be a brilliant journalist, Alya was a
special correspondent for the state news agency, RIA Novosti, and later
the national anchor at VESTI, followed by the position of spokesperson
for the vice chairman of the state legislative body in the ruling
assembly of Russia. In her spare time, she created her first musical
project, Japanica, a fusion of pop and traditional Japanese melodies.
Preferring to work collaboratively, she put together a team of talented
individuals.

In spite of her apparent success, Alya felt empty. In
2012, she attained personal resolution, choosing to pursue music
fulltime. Two years later, she was married, living in Los Angeles, and
working with producer David J. Holman.

Jackson Wang - Different Game (Official Video) ft. Gucci Mane

Jackson Wang is back with his new song “Different Game,” and it features Gucci Mane.

The latest single from the GOT7 rapper
was released on Tuesday (Nov. 6), and accompanied by a music video that
showed the pair of hip-hop artists living it up, taking Wang from
Shanghai to Hawaii while singing and rapping about having a “Different
Game” with his crew and Mane.

“Rich in My ambition/ Balling we go all in/ Call me China Man/ Team
Wang made it Jackson Brand/ Why you faking reputation buying profiles
then,” raps Wang, in a reference to Team Wang, the China-oriented team
that focuses on his career as a soloist, and an apparent allusion to
others buying followers on social media.

Unlike many of Wang’s solo tracks, “Different Game” is performed entirely in English.

Gucci Mane, who recently announced the December release date for his upcoming album Evil Genius,
features with a verse in which he hypes up Wang while addressing those
who aren’t yet on his level. “Balling like Lamar/Jackson a dual threat,”
he says. “You just a freshman you still ain’t in the league yet.”

One-seventh of the K-pop boy band GOT7, Hong Kong-born Wang
simultaneously pursues a career in the Chinese market along with his
activities in the South Korean music scene. “Different Game” is his
latest single as a soloist in 2018, following the release of other songs
including “Dawn of Us,” “Bruce Lee” with Al Rocco,” and “Fendiman.”
Along with his work as a member of GOT7, he’s also been busy on several
other collaborations this year in China. He regularly appears on the China V chart, and his song “Fendiman” debuted in the top 10 of the Rap Digital Song Sales chart earlier this year, peaking at No. 8 on the chart dated June 9.

“Different Game” is available through digital music platforms, including Spotify, Tidal, and Apple Music.

Hella Yadada Digi Youbooboo Grrrtt YeeYee!! - Jo Vegas

Jo Vegas, Vegas as in “anything goes” is just a small
definition of what this musically inclined creature represents. Cadent,
clairvoyant and redefining would be a few more words given under his
name but unfortunately when trying to give his sound a genre you simply
cannot put him in a box.

Check out “Hella Yadada Digi Youbooboo Grrrtt YeeYee!!”on YouTube above!
Born
Jovon Bray, into a musically inclined family, Jo Vegas took what he
grew up learning from his father and uncles; and used that discipline,
patience and extreme learning capabilities to create a world of
competiveness in sports and music. What Jo was drawn to in both of these
fields was his freedom to express himself through contact and verbal
communication. Vegas aligned himself with childhood friends Lee Bannon
(Producer) and ODK (Rapper) who aggressively nurtured the talent Jo
Vegas holds to push his new brand of emcee, his ear for sound and to
build a movement within the hip hop/indie scene. Learning the anatomy of
music, its business and what it would take to be valuable asset in such
a dynamic industry.
Spending a few years sharpening his
skills and building his own self-confidence, Vegas formulated an entire
artist launching plan. Jo not only takes you with him on his journey
form a confused young hungry talent with a dream, to a fulfilled
accomplished artist in the process of making those dreams a reality by
reflecting on his past trials and tribulations, emotions and feelings he
paints pictures of his inner mind with every song, a machine of
constant ideas, if you will, and an upscale rhyme pattern never heard or
seen before. Jo Vegas is a bright Sacramento star that has only begun
to shine. The future only holds good things for Jo and all that dare to
escape into the mind of Jo Vegas.

Mulaarie -"Like Me" (Official Music Video)

Mulaarie season continues to heat up as the Philadelphia rapper,
songwriter & vocalist prepares to release a slew of new music this
October. “Like Me” sees Mulaarie’s unique staccato pierce music producer
Yung Kairo’s lush sonic tapestry. Still, the track — while boastful and
full of bravado — also serves as a cautionary tale for those embroiled
within the travails and pitfalls of life on the streets. ***** “Like Me”
is the third single off of Mulaarie’s upcoming full-length studio LP.
Coming in 2019.

n West Philadelphia born and raised; but he didn’t play on any
playgrounds. Mulaarie coming from the musically sacred grounds of
Philly, didn’t have time to play. Life’s cruel circumstances left him to
fend for himself in any and every way possible, which in the end
morphed him into a sort of ‘prophet of the street.’ Mulaarie calls it as
he’s lived it and the rawness of his language is drawing the attention
of people with similar experiences, people curious about what that type
of life is like and the big wigs who are accomplished who see in him,
what they saw in themselves. Mulaarie at the tender age of 25 has lived
10 lives and now his lyrics act as a bullhorn for what it’s really like
to be out there relying on instinct alone.

‘Everyone says I’m soft now’, says the burgeoning rapper. ‘But
I’m not soft, I’m a father’. Life has changed drastically for Mulaarie
since the days when all he had to worry about was himself. He has
completely taken on the role of a loving, nurturing father and has
decided that his young king will live vastly different than he. Taking a
long hard look in the mirror, Mulaarie concluded that the only way his
son should live is in excellence. He’s growing up and glowing up doing
the right thing by family while breaking into this industry with a
vengeance.

Wasn’t too long after Mulaarie decided to mix urban myths,
realities and street tales into a fusion of melodic chant, did South
Philadelphia native Beanie Sigel take notice; and the rest as they say
is history. Sigel began to walk around with Mulaarie as if he were his
musical son; someone whose future he absolutely cared about. Sigel knew
what we all know…. Hip Hop keeps living when new life is breathed into
and the evolution continues.

Mulaarie has come MILES from where he started. His career path
has become the stuff of legends and his discography is intriguing,
telling and musical. He’s proud of all his work but has done remarkable
collabs with the likes of Styles P and Beanie Sigel; something up and
coming rappers wish they could say. Some of his singles include, Been
Like ‘Dat Produced by KRISSIO, Dreams of a Drug Lord, Whole Damn Life,
and Bully Lyfe featuring Beanie Sigel. Check out more of his current
releases on Spotify, SoundCloud, iTunes, videos on YouTube where much of
his work is streamed.

MTM "Yea I Know" - official music video - Explicit

A Hip-Hop collaboration in full-effect like none other to
come before it or any that’ll come afterwards – MTM More Than Music is a
crew stocked with enough skill & determination to take the world by
storm. Officially formed in 2015, each of these powerfully dynamic
emcees & their individual talents contribute to create gritty, raw,
and real cuts that contain the audible bond that only true fam are
capable of.

All the members of MTM are related – and there’s an
undeniable unity you can hear in the music between them as they pass the
mic & bring their own perspective, sound, swagger, & style to
every experience.

Spittin’ serious truths and unafraid to bring the heat to
the hooks, the diverse lineup of skills rolls deep. Original members
Haze, aka Hazey Gabana, Dooley, aka Foolaire, and Shaddy Lu are the
backbone of a versatile Hip-Hop group that is a complete multi-threat.
Haze has razor sharp skills on the mic, 100% dialed-in to a signature
style that’s synonymous with wild entertainment; whether it’s rapping
hot bars or singing big hooks, he’s proven time & again he brings
his A-game to every moment. Dooley has been in the game full-time since
2015; he’s taken the influence of giant artists/rappers like Rick Ross,
French Montana, & Young Jeezy, to create a fresh & authentic
flow of his own design that has become an essential part of the MTM
sound. Shaddy Lu adds even more dimensions of talent to More Than Music
by bringing in an intense amount of commitment, dedication, and focus
that’s straight-up unmatched by any emcee out there grindin’ today, with
the ability to transition flawlessly from massive hooks sung aloud to
blazing rap that highlights his impressive precision on the mic &
charismatic flow.

Together, MTM More Than Music burst into the Rap/Hip-Hop
scene with extreme confidence and bulletproof material. They’d go on to
win first place in an official Def Jam showcase in 2016 within their
first year, in addition to being featured with incredible artists like
J.R. Writer of Dipset & Conan of YNVS. Already proving they could
hang with the best of the best, they continued to lock-in to their own
style, developing & refining the rhymes & sharpening the hooks
as they headed towards new breakthroughs, with every member inspired to
reach that all-important next-level that they each knew existed for MTM.
And in 2018 – they found what they were looking for. Haze set up a
meeting with Gro August, the head of HUNGREEFOMO Entertainment, played a
few MTM cuts for the man in charge – and it was officially game on from
there. Gro August was entirely impressed by the amount of talent,
depth, and innovation of the Hip-Hop crew that he immediately put pen to
paper & signed MTM to the HUNGREEFOMO label. Stoked for the new
opportunities from the studio to the stage coming up in their future and
the growing support surrounding MTM’s rise in the music-scene, these
emcees are set to blow up what you already think you know about
Rap/Hip-Hop & remind the world that what they do is seriously More
Than Music. MTM creates unforgettable experiences in entertainment
unlike any other – and they always will.

The group is ready to raise the stakes and standards for
the entire genre. MTM is currently writing, recording, and getting
killer new beats to work with, while anticipating the official release
of their fourth member, Ruug Heff, from his incarceration. Carrying on
strongly and representing as a three-piece unit until he’s back on the
right side of the bars, More Than Music is a reputable force to be
reckoned with as they are right now – once they’re at full-strength with
everyone back on the m-i-c where they belong, MTM is set to dominate
the Rap game completely & make their mark in music-history a
permanent one.

Salt Ashes - Go All Out | Official Video

Radikal Records recording artist Salt Ashes just dropped a new
visual for her latest single “Go All Out” directed by Lucrecia Taormina

“The video is a reflection of the internal struggle you have as
an adult to accept and follow the status quo when your real desire
should be to taste danger and release the inner child.”

Speaking of the video, Salt Ashes says
“Being that Tim Burton’s ‘Beetlejuice” is one of my favourite films
I was instantly drawn in and could see that Lucrecia understood and
shares my vision for pushing visual boundaries and taking risks.
Lucrecia comes from a fashion photographic background so her attention
to detail and approach at composing each scene is flawless. It was
awesome working with her and the incredible team we had on this.”
The video will be released via the Roton Music YouTube Channel. Go
All Out is the second single in 2018 from Salt Ashes following ‘Girls’
earlier this year as well as her debut self-titled LP in 2016, all
released by US indie dance label Radikal Records who she has been signed
with, worldwide, since her debut in 2014. With stamps of approval from
tastemakers such as MTV, Billboard, Noisey, The Guardian, Daily Mail,
Popjustice, Wonderland and BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra as well as opening
for artists such as Tove Styrke, Say Lou Lou, Nimmo, Bright Light Bright
Light and 80s pop sensation Tiffany, Salt Ashes has clearly been
defined as an Artist To Watch.

Speaking of the track, Salt Ashes says
“I totally lost myself in a long term relationship and after we
broke up, I spent a year battling with who I was and learnt how to love
me again, which is when I wrote this song. I realised how hard I had
become over the years, constantly putting restrictions on myself and
shrinking to try and fit in all the time. I’d forgotten how to have fun,
explore, be adventurous and happy with myself. It made me wonder what
external aspects of my life contributed to where I had ended up which
made me see how I’d been sucked into media bulls***.
From a young age we are constantly encouraged by the media to
criticise and compare our bodies, looks and weight with unrealistic
images of photoshopped people and we become conditioned to believe
that’s the norm and that you are unattractive or won’t get anywhere
unless you look that way. So it made me think about what I would say to
my younger self to help her feel empowered and accepting of who she is
without the need for other people’s approval.”

theme of change. Each song deals with the struggle of change – leaving
toxic environments, grappling with temptations, or refusing to change.
The album is told from multiple perspectives, based on both people in
Joji’s life and imagined. BALLADS 1 also reflects Joji’s evolution as an
artist since the release of his debut EP In Tongues in November 2017.
Through the recording process, Joji has unlocked an ambitious new sound
and style that’s uniquely his own. The album is predominantly self-
produced, yet features notable collaborations with producers Shlohmo,
Clams Casino, RL Grime, Patrick Wimberly, and Jam City. BALLADS 1 also
sees Joji and Trippie Redd follow up on their “18” collaboration from
earlier this year with a highly anticipated new song called “R.I.P.”

Rich Brian - History (Official Video)

Rich Brian gives fans the official video for “History” – one of his contributions to 88rising’s Head In the Clouds compilation album.

As one of the many talented names representing 88rising, Rich Brian
has stolen the hearts of fans across the musical spectrum and continues
to push his sound into the hands of an audience who can relate to his
lyricism. His latest single, “History,” is a look inside Rich Brian’s
lovelorn heart. In this track, he’s rapping about the nostalgia he feels
when he looks at the object of his affection and goes on to ask for
another chance at a relationship. It’s a feeling that’s been represented
in countless love songs since the beginning of music and poetry, but it
hits home nonetheless.

Earlier this year, 88rising released their
debut album as a collective, Head in the Clouds, allowing each
individual member a clear standout moment to shine. One of the most
immediate favorites to emerge from the record’s tracklist was Rich Brian’s
formidable solo track, “History,” written and produced by Brian
himself, and now he’s given that song the dramatic R&B-inspired
video treatment it deserves.

Directed by Brian alongside James Defina (whose video credits
include Joji & Post Malone) the “History” video sees the
rapper attempting to win back his ex. It doesn’t go quite as planned,
however, and eventually Brian is rapping in the rain just like the best
’90s R&B artists always did. It’s the perfect reminder of just how
good Head in the Clouds is, too, offering up an excellent excuse to
revisit the project.

Rich Brian has been busy on tour with the rest of 88rising, while also appearing alongside his friend and fellow 88 member Joji in First We Feast’s new series Feast Mansion.
In the latest episode of the weekly cooking show, Joji and Brian were
joined by Yoya Takahashi, the renowned sushi chef behind L.A.’s
Hamasaku, who teaches the boys how to make omakase-grade fish from the
comfort of their Hollywood Hills home.

Cierra Ramirez - Bad Boys (Official Video)

Cierra Ramirez Drops New Ma$e-Inspired Single & Video “Bad Boys”

Cierra Ramirez has shared her new single  “Bad
Boys.” We know Cierra Ramirez best from television shows like The
Fosters, but the actress is also a talented singer. In a new single that
takes cues from  Ma$e’s 1997 hit Feel So Good, the
rising star makes it clear she’s all about “Bad Boys.” In case you
didn’t know, the 23-year-old hit the ground running with her viral song
“Faded” last year, which has over 4 million views since its release and
was the #3 most added song at Top 40 Rhythm Radio last summer.
The 23-year-old multi-hyphenate’s Caribbean-infused record is a
warm welcome, and she has plans to release its official music video in
the upcoming weeks. The track takes cues from Mase’s “Feel So Good” and
Miami Sound Machine’s “Bad Boy,” but, according to Ramirez, the main
inspiration came from the 1990 Johnny Depp film Cry Baby.
“I’m very inspired by films so when I was first working on ‘Bad
Boys,’ I instantly thought of one of my favorite movies Cry Baby which
is about the love between two people who shouldn’t be together based on
what society says is acceptable,” Ramirez says. “I feel that the
pressure of living up to other peoples expectations and playing it safe
in life goes out the window when someone intensely interesting comes
into the picture. You know in your heart that you should probably end up
with the nice guy, but that bad boy is so much more exciting and brings
color into your life like nobody else. That’s the essence of the song.”
“We are faced with the constant struggle of making the ‘right’
decision in love and in life,” Ramirez says about the video release.
“Sometimes though, especially being a young woman, passion calls and we
answer!”

Besides the new song, this is also going to be a great year for her
in film and on the small screen: This fall she is starring in and
co-producing a new television show Good Trouble, (a spin-off of The
Fosters), with her co-star Maia Mitchell, and completing the picture,
(pun intended) Cierra has voiced the MARVEL character of Miss America,
aka America Chavez. The renowned comic book character is the first
LatinX, LGBTQ superhero, who will bow for the first time in the soon to
be released film, Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors airing on 9/30 on
Disney and Disney XD.

Abrina - Bad 4 U (Refresh Remix)

Abrina releases new visuals for “Bad 4 U” – Refresh Remix
Bad 4 U is a song thats already had some global attention. Abrina teamed up with Dj City’s own Refresh, who also happens to be from Abrina’s hometown San Diego, and the two delivered a

club/latin/tropical smash!

“Bad 4 U music video is basically a recap
video compiled with all my footage I gathered out in Europe while on my
tour. What I love about the video is its just natural and real. For
music videos most of the time us artist are all styled up with makeup
and looking video ready with big scenes but this video is just actual
snaps and footage of me on a normal day. My song Bad 4 U is about
admitting to your lover that he might get hurt because you tend to be
bad. If you can’t be good at being good then just enjoy being bad. The
video was mainly shot in Spain, and I linked up with director Antaha
from Cicuta films and she helped me capture some extra scenes that we
shot in Madrid. She is one of the most dopest, creative, young vibrant
woman I have ever worked with. Next time I’m in Spain I am definitely
working with her again!!”
– Abrina

Coming off a successful summer tour through Europe, San Diego native Abrina
continues to blaze a pathway with her fresh new sound, marrying R&B
and pop elements along with a Latin flavor to create a voice of her
own.
This Latina has spent most of the recent years touring the world especially in the Philippines – where one of Abrina’s first singles, “Fallback” ft Baby Bash, rose to top 10. Abrina followed up her

success with a song with R&B superstar Jeremih titled “Blowin,” which received global attention.
Fans of Abrina have a lot to look forward to: her highly anticipated  2nd EP will release, featuring the singles “Tentación” and “Way You Touch Me.” Both singles have been applauded for defining Abrina’s distinct voice. She
is also working alongside Grammy Award winning producers Play and
Skillz as well as Clayton William. Abrina is also collaborating on a
new project that will feature the likes of Kap G, Frankie V, C Kan, and
more. She continues to be a spokesmodel for Dome Piece Audio headphones
and made her acting debut on the new Tru TV show, Laff Tracks.

Want to catch a performance? More dates have been added in
November and December as part of her Europe tour which is now extended
through Spain and Bali. In 2019 she will be touring through the Middle
East in support of the troops.

Abrina is not backing down one bit and won’t take no for an answer. Stay tuned for more music and shows!
